In reply to your letter of the 30th March, received by me on the 3rd of April,
I have the honor to inform you that I have been instructed by the Trustees of the
Royal Park at a meeting held on the 6th inst, to request you to furnish the Trustees
with a copy of the Letter from the Department of Land & Works to which you allude,
in order that such communication may be placed before the trustees for their consideration
at their next meeting.

Letter not found. The minutes record (pp. 178-9) that M reported receipt of the letter
from the Brunswick Borough Council at a meeting of the Trustees of Royal Park held
on 6 April 1871. The Council sought the Trustees' sanction of an extension of its
cricket ground in Royal Park, 'in reference to which the Council had some correspondence
with the Board of Land and Works'.
