I am very anxious, dear Mr Barlee, to enter on an anatomic examination of all the principal woods of Australia. If you have means in the Penal department to have made up for me pieces about half a cubic feet each of sound timber of any W. A. kind, accompanied by a branchlet of each if possible in flower & fruit I might do you some good for your timber trade.
your regardful
Ferd. von Mueller
I am not merely anxious for Eucalypts, but also for any other trees, such as e, e, e.
