Office of Lands and Survey,
Melbourne, Febry 24th. 1871.
Sir,
I have the honor to acquaint you, for the information of yourself and co-trustees of the Royal Park, that in the small addition to the Recreation Reserve, recently applied for, the Borough Council contemplated the surrounding of it by a belt of plantation.
As such an arrangement would be advantageous with regard to the interest of both the Acclimatization Society and the general public, owing to the great want of additional natural shelter in the Royal Park, it is hoped that the trustees will concur therein.
I have the honor to be,
Sir,
Your most obedient Servant
Assist. Commr of Lands & Survey.
