This consignment comes from La Plata in exchange for seeds sent by me to the Argentine

M's note was made in response to letter forwarded to him by McCulloch on 21 December
1870. McCulloch had received the letter from Victoria's Agent General in London saying that a box of seeds intended
for M, that had been forwarded by Britain's Chargé d'Affaires at Buenos Aires, was
being sent per
Essex.
