It may interest you to know, dear Mr Bentham, that a true Ilex has been found in N.E. Australia, allied to . I called it I. pedunculosa.

Described as I. peduncularis in B70.12.03, p. 105.

A new genus of has also just turned up, belonging to the true Araliac[eous] section. I named it .

M erected (M. haplosciadea) in B70.12.03, p. 107.

After much anxieties in the Department, which indeed still continue, I have managed (though under real distractions) to finish a new number of the Fragmenta. It contains among other curious things a monostachyous .
