I am directed by the Chief Secretary to request that you will have the goodness to forward to the Industrial and Technological Museum at the Public Library the phytological collection recently exhibited at Sydney

Agricultural Society of New South Wales Metropolitan Intercolonial Exhibition, Sydney, 1870. M to J. McCulloch, 13 July 1879 (in this edition as 70-07-13a), sought permission to send exhibits. There appears to have been some confusion when the cases were returned from Sydney, about which items belonged to the Public Library and Museum, which to the Government Botanist's Department, and which to M: see A. Neate to M, 4 November 1870 (in this edition as 70-11-04a), and M to R. Barry, 4 November 1970.
and which Sir James McCulloch is informed has now been returned to your custody.
