The work was forwarded to M on 16 August 1870 (V70/9438, unit 469, VPRS 3991/P, Public Record Offive, Victoria). A letter of acknowledgment for the donation was sent from the Chief Scretary's Department to the Government of Madras on 18 September 1870.
