Sir,
Referring to your letter of the 23rd ult
addressed to Mr Bright in which you request the Trustees of the Museum to advance
you £50 for the expenses incurred in preparing articles for the Museum, I have the
honor to inform you that the Trustees regret that there is no provision in the estimates
to enable them to supplement the expenses of your department
