Sir
I have the honor to inform you that the Trustees of the Royal Park have felt much
pleasure in appointing you their agent, and that accordingly for the time being you
have become their executive officer at the Park. You will be aware that no salary
is attached to this office now, but the park officer's residence is placed in virtue
of your office at your disposal. I shall acquaint you with the time of the meeting
of the Trustees, in order that you may be present, to offer any suggestions or advise,
such as at any time may be deemed by you desirable. The Trustees have directed that
any grazing fees arising in the Park should be received by you and be placed to their
credit into the Bank of Victoria. In reference to your incidental expenditures final
arrangements will be early made by the Trustees
I have the honor to be Sir
Your obedient servant
(signed) F v Mueller, Hon. Sec.
Alb. Le Souef Esq.
