I am requested by H. E. the Govr.

His Excellency the Governor, i. e. Charles Du Cane.

to inform you that the supply of plants therein indicated will be very thankfully received by the Royal Society of this Colony and arrangements made for their distribution & culture in suitable localities.

The plants in the first instance will be taken charge of by Mr Abbott of the Royal Soy

Society.

Gardens in whose judgement as regards their ultimate disposition H. E's Advisers have every confidence.

I am further desired by H. E. to express the thanks both of himself & his Advisers for your liberal offer
