May 26th 1870.
The Chief Secretary is surprised to hear that Gardener W. Smith has not yet been reemployed at the Botanic Gardens notwithstanding his direction that Smiths services were to be considered as continuous and that the circumstances that occurred four years ago could not now be taken into account to his injury.
