For the text given here, see the report of a meeting of the Campbell's Creek Road Board held on 12 May 1870, Mount Alexander mail, 13 May 1870, p. 2; it is dated to May 1870 as the previous meeting of the Board held on 28 April had resolved that M be requested to supply plants and seeds (Mount Alexander mail, 29 April 1870, p. 2).
[Inward Correspondence. — From Mr Mueller, stating he will supply for the recreation reserve such plants as are available. The Surveyor reported that a quantity of plants and trees had arrived, and that the contracts were being proceeded with. […] It was remarked that the plants were very young, and would require care, and it was considered that it would be best to appoint a committee to examine them, and arrange as to planting.
