Cordier’ [Letter from Mr Cordier], Bulletin de la Société Nationale d’Agriculture d’Alger, vol. 13 (1870), p. 179. Cordier’s letter is dated 15 July 1870; M’s letter is dated to May 1870 as the latest likely date it could have been sent to reach Cordier in time for him to quote from it.
