spare for the purpose of planting in the Warrnambool Botanical Gardens.
I [...] and beg to inform you that Mr Chas. Walker of [29] Market Street will make
all necessary arrangements for packing and shipment

Walker not further identified, but in 1870 the Melbourne agent for the Warrnambool
Steam-Packet Company, owners of Edina, was J. C. Anderson, 29 Market Street, and he may have been an employee.
Read wrote to Walker on 20 April 1870 instructing him to obtain plants from M for
the Warrnambool Botanic Garden, and to make all arrangements for their shipment on
