Being aware, dear Mr Macpherson, that as a member of the Park Committee of the City Council you take a vivid interest in improving the reserves under the control of the Corporation, I beg to invite you to a visit of the botanic Garden during the holidays, when I would be glad to point out, how at a trifling expense great improvements could be effected on the ground near the Richmond Police Barracks on this side of Punt-Road. If you will honor me with a visit, pray let me know the exact time, so that I may be sure to be at home to meet you and any of your colleagues, who may be inclined to accompany you.
