Melbourne bot Garden
29/5/69.
Sir
In reply to your letter, received this day,
2
H. Read to M, 26 May 1869.
I beg to inform you, that I will be ready to supply such plants as are still available here for the bot Garden of Warrnambool, altho' the supplies were distributed since the first of this month and are now in most instances exhausted. Be so good to appoint an agent in Melbourne to receive the plants, to provide for packing & transit, and please furnish him with a rough sketch of the ground, indicting what space has been actually prepared for the plants. I suppose the garden is goatprove and that water is available in the summer.
Very obediently
Ferd von Mueller
