I am glad, dear Mr Bentham, to hear of your famous progress again. The will indeed prove very interesting. You will find a few additions to them and to in the larger boxful of supplemental plants, of Monochlamydeae which is soon to be dispatched.

Box 49, per Wellesley , sailed from Melbourne on 15 January 1869 (Notebook recording despatch of plants for Flora Australiensis, RB, MSS, M44, Library, Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne).
The examination of the Lord Howe's Island plants, which I have now through Mr Moore's kindness in some quantity will prove to you, that Norfolk Island not only as a dependency, but also phytologically belongs best to Australia.
Let me hope your health and strength remain firm.

Is your really decandrous. I have a species, seemingly referable to this genus, (G. tetrandra F. v M.)
