Sulla proposta del Nostro Presidente del Consiglio, Ministro Segretario di Stato per gli Affari Esteri
Abbiamo nominato e nominiamo Ferdinando Mueller Direttore del Giardino botanico di Melbourne a Cavaliere dell'Ordine della Corona d'Italia con facoltà di fregiarsi delle insegne per tale Equestre grado stabilite.
Il Ministro di Stato Cancelliere dell'Ordine è incaricato dell'esecuzione del presente Decreto, che sarà registrato alla Cancellaria dell'Ordine medesimo.
Data a Firenze addi 20 Settembre 1868.

Grand Master of the Order of the Crown of Italy
Has signed the following decree:
On the proposal of Our President of the Council, Minister Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs
We have named and nominated Ferdinand Mueller Director of the botanic Garden of Melbourne Knight of the Order of the Crown of Italy with authority to bear the insignia of such established Equestrian rank.
The Minister of State Chancellor of the Order is charged with the execution of the present Decree, which will be registered at the Chancellery of the same Order.
Given at Florence this 20 September 1868.

The Chancellor of the Order of the Crown of Italy declares that in execution of the above revered Royal arrangements the said Mr Ferdinand Mueller was inscribed in the Roll of Foreign Knights at No. 35 and sends the present document to the person honoured.
