Sir,
Referring to your letter of the 19th ultimo wherein you asked permission to plant
an elm tree opposite each set of rails of the S.E. approach to Princes Bridge,
I have been directed by the Health Committee of the Council of the City of Melbourne
to inform you that they have much pleasure in according the permission, and I am at
the same time to thank you for the plantations which you have recently made in the
locality.
