dear Mr Bentham, you will find an inventory of Box 37, shipped by the Dovre

Castle, which ship sailes to morrow. I have still 40 fasc of in a very forward state of arrangement and elaboration & shall send these off also within the next weeks. You will then have got altogether 163 fasc. for volume 4. In many of the orders genera have been doubled & the species tripled. Thus RBrown had in only , & , while my collection brings , , & in addition. RBr had not at all, strange to say, — I have 6 species. The s I have like many other plants only hurriedly arranged; so the flowers & capsules have to be analysed. It is hopeless to identify RBr species without reference to his original material.
