abstract and judgement certificate.

The Assistant Commissioner of Lands and Survey applied to the Treasury for an advance
of £150 out of the Duke of Edinburgh Reception Vote for improvements to the grounds
of Government House at Toorak, to be expended under M's direction. The papers were
forwarded to M for information and guidance on 3 December 1867. The file was again referred to M on 24 December 1867. For his reply see M to E. Symonds, 31 December 1867 (in this edition as 67-12-31a).
