requesting me to return the flower pots, I have the honor to inform you that I have given instructions to have them sent back immediately and have to confess my regret that they have not been returned before this.

The Acclimatisation Society was among the bodies regularly supplied plants from the Botanic Garden nursery; 140 pot plants had been supplied to it in June 1867 (M to Parliamentary return, 8 July 1867 (in this edition as 67-07-08a)).
