My dear Sir
On my return from abroad I find your letters of the 21st April and 14th June — also the etc which you mention — all safely arrived. I have now set to work at them and hope to proceed rapidly — I sincerely trust that the other Monopetalous Orders are on their way as I must hasten on with the work if I entertain any hope to complete it and I should be sorry to have to work without your materials — I must endeavour to begin printing in February at the latest, but I do not foresee any such difficulties in the volume now in hand as in the preceding ones
The 3rd part of our Genera

I have had an exceedingly agreable holiday in Germany chiefly in the Thüringerwald (Liebenstein, Rudolstadt etc) and am now just returned to work. I purpose going on steadily with the Flora Australiensis without further interruption that I can help till I shall have got through the 4th vol.
Ever yours sincerely
George Bentham
Many thanks for your exertions in promoting the Linnean Society
