In compliance with your request I have the honor to furnish herewith a return of the
copies still available in this establishment of the Fragmenta phytographiae Australiae
published from the beginning of 1858 til the end of 1866.
Unbound fascicles
at the office of the Director of the botanic Garden one thousand seven hundreds eighty
four 1784.
Unbound plates
three thousand five hundred fourty nine 3549.
In further explanation I beg to append a letter of which a copy was adressed to you
on the fourth of this month,
and in addition I have still to observe, that unbound fascicles and plates have since
the publication of the work been distributed by consent of Government as occasion
arose for furthering the increase of the collections of the phytologic Museum by transmitting
the prints to discoverers of certain plants, or to contributors to the herbarium,
or to excite the aid of residents in localities rich in plants, or to afford information
connected with the Australian vegetation.
