Silvester Diggles had exhibited 'specimens of a serial work on the ornithology of
Australia' in the Queensland court, i.e. the portion of Diggles (1866-70) that had
been published by then (Intercolonial exhibition of Australasia (1867), Catalogue,
p. 94).
