31/3/67.
The Wellesley, dear Mr Bentham has taken box 31.
1
Wellesley sailed from Melbourne on 1 April 1867 with 20 fascicles of ceae for Bentham, together with 'some imperfect specimens' for J. Hooker, to be forwarded to Baillon, Arran plants, and a basket made of Xerotes longifolia (RB MSS M44, M notebook recording despatch of plants for Bentham for Flora australiensis, Library, RBG Melbourne).
May I ask that the 1 fasc. is sent to Prof. Baillon and would you kindly cause the Arran plants to be named & returned. I have little from any part of Scotland in my Museum Perhaps however you like to see the collection yourself, as it seems a rather extensive one from so limited an area.
2
Collection not identified.
I have still 5 packages of s here, which shall go by the next clipper & 1 fascicle of [c]ritical e &c which I like to examine myself yet. The , a vast collection, shall soon follow.
Your regardful
Ferd Mueller
