[Correspondence—From Dr Mueller, Government Botanist, to the secretary, stating that the fragment of thistle forwarded was too minute for him (Dr Mueller) to be able to state with certainty to what species it belonged, and suggesting a full-grown plant being forwarded to him, when he would send a full phytologic account of the plant. He however considered that the specimen forwarded, fragmentary as it was, came broadly within the meaning of the Thistle Act.]
