Sir
In two former communications
I had the honor to draw your attention to the circumstance, that the small vote for
the incidental expenditure in this establishment available in 1866 was insufficient
to meet the current requirements, and I solicited that the sum of £40.- .- might be placed on the additional estimates for reimbursement of the outlays, which
I had personally to incur from Sept til December last for freights, small repairs
&c in the department.
1
I now take the liberty of forwarding to you the vouchers referring to this expenditure
and beg to solicit that you will be pleased to place the sum mentioned at such time
at my disposal as you may decide on
2
McCulloch initialled his approval
on the file cover
.
I have the honor to be,
Sir,
your most obedient servant
Ferd. Mueller
The honorable the Chief Secretary
