Betham et Blackith de Londres qui annonce la remise de la première caisse, contenant
les squelettes des indigènes d'Australie, à Mr. le Consul russe à Londres.]
[Dr Ferdinand Mueller of Melbourne sends the names of the individuals represented
on the photographic sheets of the Yarra tribe in Australia, with indication of their
age.
He adds at the same time another catalogue giving the Australian names of the different
species of wood and other substances used by the Australian indigenes in the fabrication
of their arms and other objects.

The same
announces that beyond the arms of the Yarra tribe he has sent for the public Museum
of Moscow a certain number of arms of the indigenes of Arnhem Land
— the frst collection of arms from this country sent to Europe. He sends at the same
time a letter from the house of Betham and Blackith in London that announces the forwarding
of the first box, containing the skeletons of the Australian indigenes,
to the Russian Consul in London.]
