Dear Sir
Let me trust that you will kindly provide the fourty pounds on the supplementary estimates
for incidental expenses. The transit engagements of the Department have become so
extensive, that I am utterly unable to bring these together with the constant current
expenses for small repairs within the existing vote, and it would fall rather hard
on me was I beside so many other monetary sacrifices I have to make for the dignity
of my position also to loose this sum again or abandon a portion of my engagements
for interchanges.
Your regardful & obedient
Ferd. Mueller
