MS is annotated 'No 2' of 74 receipts covering materials supplied from the Botanic Garden for the Intercolonial Exhibition of Australasia, Melbourne, 1866-7, for which M was one of the Commissioners. The correspondent is probably John Marshall Walker, who was a general agent in Twofold Bay at this time, who is likely to have organized the preparation and shipment of the wood samples.
