I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 5th instant

M to J. McCulloch, 5 July 1866.

requesting the authority of the Chief Secretary for the Horticultural Society to hold a flower show in the Botanical Gardens on the 20th of October next.

In reply I am to convey to you such authority subject to the regulation as to the admission of the Public to the gardens.
