With this mail again, dear Prof. Parlatore, I have sent to your Government seeds of some useful trees. I will endeavour to keep up the supply monthly. Should you at any time be overloaded with any kind, pray let then the superfluous quantity be sent to Madrid, Lisbon or Athen.
I have given to the hon. John O'Shanassy a letter of introduction to you. Should this influential Victorian Statesman visit your city, I should feel much indebted, if you would kindly pay him some little attention.
The enclosed fragments are of a new Callitris, recently discovered in Queensland. It is a pleasant task to distinguish it by the illustrious name of the pithyograph
