I have the honor to inform you, that the President of the Port Phillip farmers Society, T. Sumner Esqr, has kindly undertaken to communicate to the Society the conditions under which the trustees of the Royal Park are willing to concede permission of a ploughing match being held in the area of the Park.

The ploughing match was held at Royal Park on 5 July 1866 ('Champion ploughing match', Herald (Melbourne), 6 July 1866, p. 2).
