I am directed by the Honorable the Chief Secretary to inform you that whenever it is necessary for your Department to make a remittance to the Crown Agent, it is desirable that an account be prepared on the usual form and in the name of the Honorable the Treasurer, as the claimant, and that it be forwarded to this office in sufficient time to admit of its being sent to the Treasury, at least a week before the Mail closes, in a letter containing the Chief Secretary's approval of the remittance being made.
