Letter not found. The text given here is from a report of the meeting of the Council of the Board of Agriculture, 18 April 1866, p. 12 (Ballarat star, 19 April 1866, p. 2). There is no direct evidence that M wrote as requested, although a report on the analysis was presented by M at a meeting held on 20 June 1866 (Ballarat star, 21 June 1866, p. 2), see B66.06.07.
[A letter from Mr. J. Miller was read, asking if the samples of the Ballarat phosphoric potash manure sent to be tested by Dr Mueller had been reported upon. It was proposed by Mr Ramsay, and seconded by Mr Riddell, that the letter be handed to Dr Mueller, and that he be requested to answer it. This was agreed to.]
