I am very sorry to hear that Mr Edw Wilsons cataract operation has been followed by
a glaucomatic affection which may deprive him of the last hope of restoration of his
sight. This is very sad with a man still in vigor of age & of such expansive views
& philanthropic mind. If you, dear Dr Hooker, can at any time fulfill any of his wishes
I shall regard it a special favor.
Regardfully
yr
Ferd Mueller
