I have the honor to inform you that the Honorable The Commissioner of Crown Lands and Survey considers it inexpedient to reserve, for the purposes of an experimental garden, the land therein specified viz allotment 54, Parish of Kerrie.

When the plan of the Parish of Kerrie, east of Mt Macedon, was published in 1892, allotment 54 had been subdivided; the largest, 54E of 124 acres, was shown as a 'Plantation Reserve' (National Library of Australia digitized copy, http://nla.gov.au/nla.obj-232024455 ).
