of the Koninklijke Natuurkundige Vereeniging in Nederlandsch-Indië held on 11 November
1865, Natuurkundig tijdschrift voor Nederlandsch Indië, vol. 29 (1866), pp. 415-6.
[Mr Teijsmann tables a letter addressed to him, dated 25 October this year, from the
member Dr F. Mueller in Melbourne, from which it appears that the Society, in order
to obtain his works, will have to contact the chief secretary of the Victorian Government.]

The Executive resolved 'zich ter zake tot die autoriteit te wenden' [to turn to that
authority on the matter]. The Secretary of the Society, W. F. Versteeg, wrote to Melbourne
the next day and the Undersecretary of the Chief Secretary's Department, J. Moore,
replied on 6 February 1866 that the requested copies of Mueller's works were being sent (N808, no. 389, p. 32,
unit 11, VPRS 1187/P outward correspondence, VA 475 Chief Secretary's Department,
Public Record Office, Victoria). The books were reported as received at the meeting
of the Society's Executive on 18 May 1866 (Natuurkundig tijdschrift voor Nederlandsch Indië, vol. 29 (1866), pp. 473).
