Sir
I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 19th Inst
covering letters from Dr Bernays
& Mr Carfie
(both of which I now enclose) and in reply I am directed by the Council to express
their thanks for the […] and the raven all of which appear in good health and do credit
to Mr Carfie's kind care. A cheque for the £11.10 shall be passed directly the Society
receives some money from the Government which I trust will be within a few days.
