[Dr. Ferd Mueller, of the Botanic Garden, Melbourne, writes to the effect that he "would be glad to receive fresh, well-ripened, carefully dried and packed Pine seeds of any sorts, in exchange for Australian seeds, from any European garden, in quantity". Dr. Mueller's object is to establish the different species of Firs from various parts of the globe in masses, with the view to their final naturalisation in Australian forests.]
