asking that a sum of £10 should be devoted to the repair of the Footpath across the Yarra Park: I have the honor to inform you that the Public Works Committee of the Council of this City have recommended that the amount be voted and handed over to you in accordance with your suggestions.

The register of FitzGibbon’s outgoing correspondence shows that on 28 February 1866 he wrote to M concerning 'receipt of voucher £10 for improvs footpath Yarra Park and planting of willows &c' (Unit 11, index, VPRS 4025/P, PROV).
