Sir
I have the honor to inform you, that at a Meeting of the Trustees of the Royal Park,
held this day it was resolved to solicit the Board of Land & Works to proclaim the
Royal Park a Reserve under the Amending Land Act of 1865.
1
G. Sprigg to M, 20 July 1865
(In this edition as 65-07-20a), requested M to call a meeting of the Trustees to propose this action.
I have been instructed to request from you the favour of bringing the wish of the
Trustees under the consideration of the honorable Board.
2
The Royal Park was not proclaimed a Reserve, but the purpose of the request, to regulate
behaviour in the Park, was acted upon when regulations proposed in M to J. Grant, 24 January 1866 (in this edition as 66-01-24b), were agreed to, and were published in
Victoria government gazette, 13 February 1866, p. 381.
I have the honor to be
Sir
Your most obedient servant
