Sir,
Referring to your memorandum dated the 24th instant,
relative to the requisition recently forwarded to you, through the Honorable the
Chief Secretary,
for some plants for a new enclosure in Albert Park, I have the honor to inform you
that the plantation of the enclosure in question is undertaken
this
year
by the Board of Land & Works at the special request of many of the inhabitants of
St Kilda, and I shall therefore be glad if you will cause at least a portion of the
Pines required to be supplied of a greater age than one year.
