Letter not found. The text given here is from 'New South Wales Leichhardt search fund', Sydney morning herald, 15 July 1865, p. 4, a report of the meeting of the committee of the Fund held on 14 July 'at Mr. Hetzer's', much of which was concerned with planning fund-raising concerts and noting 'influential gentlemen' who had agreed to join the Committee.
[An interesting letter was read from Dr. Mueller, of Melbourne, in which it was stated that the Government had promised the Ladies' Victorian Committee a sum of £500, towards the Leichhardt Search Fund.]
