In accordance with the regulations of the Stores and transport Department I have the honor to solicit, that you will be pleased to grant on the estimates for 1866 the same amounts for forage and for stores &c required next year in this establishment, as you were pleased to sanction this year, vize
Stores, Stationery for the Office and botanical Museum, Timber, Tools, Flowerpots, Labels, Paint, Fuel for Hothouses &c

On 6 July 1865, the Under Secretary, J. Moore, sent M's letter to the Tender Board. It was noted there and returned on 14 August. These amounts were placed on the Estimates for 1866 (Victoria, Parliamentary paper, 1866 B 4, p.12).
