In reply to your memorandum, attached to the letter of Mr P. O'Reilly,
in which he seeks an engagement in the Leichhardt's search Expedition, I have the
honor to state, that the application of this Gentleman will be submitted to the Commander
of the party whenever he is appointed, and that I have informed Mr O'Reilly accordingly.
