On 22 May 1865 McCulloch minuted: 'I cannot comply with the request — but before the application is finally refused I wish to have an interview with Dr Mueller — I hear that the Concert is fixed for the 20th — and the paper has now only come to hand'.
No reports have been found in Melbourne newspapers of the concert being advertised
for or held on 20 May 1865.
