J. Moore to M, 9 May 1865.
I have the honor to inform you, that no ballance to the credit of Government by deposits from this establishment is left at the Bank of Australasia, into which hitherto the payments were made, that it is my intention to place in future the Governments funds to be entrusted to my disbursement into the National Bank,

that the first deposit will be made in the amount for ordinary salaries and wages at the first of June next, no payments arising in this department before that time, and that no officer but myself is in receipt of Governments funds in my establishment.
