I have the honor by direction of the Council of the Acclimatisation Society to acknowledge
the receipt of your letter dated the 8th Inst concerning letters from the Board of Land & Works relating to iron palisades at the Royal Park,
and in reply I am instructed to state that the matters being strictly within the preserve
of the Trustees of the Park the Council cannot take upon themselves to offer any objections
to the proposed removal. Measures will be speedily adopted to replace the […]
and as soon as these can be removed the fact will immediately be brought under your
notice.
